Sleep apnea
What does a CPAP installation at home look like?
A registered nurse comes to your home, explains how the device works, fits the mask, programs the machine according to your prescription, and gives you a quick-start sheet. The visit lasts about 1 hour and is fully covered by French national health insurance.
My mask leaves a red mark in the morning, is that normal?
Light marks that disappear in 30 to 60 minutes are normal. Painful or persistent marks, however, signal a mask that is too tight or the wrong size. Contact us: trying another model is free during the first 30 days.
Can I travel with my CPAP machine?
Yes. All modern CPAPs are accepted in cabin baggage and run on 100-240V. For air travel, ask us for a medical certificate in French and English — we send it for free.
How often should I replace my mask?
Replace the silicone cushion every 3 months, the headgear every 6 months, and the full mask once a year. Apneroo automatically ships the refills covered by your private insurance.
Snoring
Is the mandibular advancement device reimbursed?
A custom-made device prescribed after a sleep study can be covered in some mild sleep apnea cases. The thermo-mouldable devices sold on our site (over-the-counter) are not reimbursed by national health insurance, but some private insurers cover part of the cost.
How long before I see results?
The Nytra device and the Side positional band work from the very first night for most users. Allow 7 to 10 nights to fully adjust.
Can I wear a mandibular device if I have braces?
Not during active orthodontic treatment. If you wear a retainer or splint, ask your dentist before buying — their advice is needed to avoid disrupting tooth alignment.
Insomnia
Can light therapy replace my sleeping pills?
It does not replace ongoing medication, but over 2 to 4 weeks it can significantly reduce your need for medication support. Any tapering must be discussed with your doctor.
How long should I use a light therapy lamp?
20 to 30 minutes a day, in the morning (between waking and 10 a.m.), about 30-40 cm from the face. First effects are felt in 5 to 10 days.
Order & delivery
What are the delivery times?
In-stock products ship within 24 working hours. Standard delivery takes 2 to 3 days in mainland France, and 4 to 6 days for overseas territories. For prescribed devices, the home installation is scheduled within 5 working days.
How do I return a product?
You have 30 days to return an unused product in its original packaging. Intraoral devices cannot be returned for hygiene reasons — except in case of a manufacturing defect. Contact customer service to get a free return label.
Reimbursement
How is the CPAP reimbursed?
CPAP is covered at 100% based on the LPP tariff, subject to adherence (at least 4 hours of use per night, 24 out of 28 nights). Apneroo handles all the paperwork with national health insurance and your private insurer, with no upfront payment.
Are accessories (wipes, filters) reimbursed?
Consumables strictly required for the therapy are included in the LPP package. The optional cleaning products we sell in the shop are at your expense or covered by your private insurer.
